Love Notes

Items needed:

  • Tissue box
  • Double sided tape
  • 2 12x12 pages
  • 1 brad
  • 12 x 12 page of a solid color
  • love stuck cartridge
  • Crop-a-Dile
  • Cricut
  • Gypsy
Cut one of ends off the tissue box. All you need to do is open it up on one of the ends and then cut off the flaps.

Cut both 12x12 pages down to 8 3/4", then you need to cut (2) 4 3/4" in wide, these are the top and bottom pieces,  Then (1) 4 3/4" x 2 3/4, this is the back piece. Now you need 12" wide by 8 3/4" long.

Tape the top, bottom and end on. Then Take your long piece and tape it to one side and then arch it over to the other side, and tape it down. It will look like a mail box.

Then on your gyspy, find love stuck. There is a mail box with a heart mail flag. I went and hid everything on that cut but the flag. The size it had to be so the flag would be big enough was, 22.5. I cut one and then flipped my mat and cut the other, with the solid color of paper. Then I taped the two flags together.

For the flag attachement, I punched a 1/8" hole in the side right side of the mailbox with my crop-a-dile, I just eye-balled it to see where it would look best. Then I put a 1/8" hole in the bottom of flag. Put the brad thru the hold and then taped the back of the brad down. On the back side of the flag I put some double sided tape and stuck it to the mailbox.

Now you are ready to get your Valentine's. My kids made these when they were 5-6. I had things pre-cut and let them do the rest. You can decorate as much or as little as you want!

Love Notes 2

Items needed:
  • Box (12x8x4)
  • Wrapping paper
  • Tape
  • Glitter glue
  • Gypsy
  • Cricut
  • Love stuck, all mixed up cartridge
  • Solid color paper
  • Glue
First I tape the bottom of the box closed, then I measure a 1inch by 12 inch section in the front of the box and cut it out. (This will be where you will drop your valentine's) Then I tape the box all together and you will have a 1in hole in the front that is as long as the box.

Next I wrap it like a present and have the seam of the paper in the back. Then I carefully run the scissors down the middle of the paper in front of the hole and tape them down.

Then you have what looks like a mailbox or just a cute box.

I cut out a set of hearts from the love stuck cartridge and did them (11.5 x 4.5 ), I cut Valentine out at (11.5 x 4.5) and then I used xmas red glitter glue on it. I cut Maximus out with all mixed up in           (2 inches)

but once you get the box made you can decorate it any way you want.
